At Merlin&Cie, everything happens at home, among the animals, the ideas that keep flowing, the parcels to prepare, the products to discover and our four-legged companions, always ready to support us… mostly by sleeping on the boxes or asking for food.
We are not a large, impersonal company. Merlin&Cie is a family-run shop, built with a lot of work, care and a genuine desire to offer lovely little attentions for animals.
Birthday boxes, toys, treats, accessories or small everyday finds: each product is chosen with the same question in mind.

Caroline, cats and the right words
Caroline loves cats deeply. Their character, their habits, their little demands, the way they decide for themselves when they feel like having a cuddle… so much so that she even writes books about them.
At Merlin&Cie, she looks after the writing, the product presentation and a large part of the shop’s universe. She likes simple, clear and sincere words, without overdoing it.
She also makes sure the shop remains warm, gentle and human, so that visitors can feel that animals are not a “product category”, but true life companions.
Gaetan, dogs, small pets and nature
Gaetan looks after the entire technical side of Merlin&Cie. The website, the way the shop works, improvements and sometimes invisible but essential settings: he makes sure everything stays clear, practical and pleasant to use.
The Merlin&Cie website was designed and developed as part of his work with SELYSEN.
When it comes to animals, he has a real affinity with dogs, small pets and exotic pets, and can spend hours observing wild animals.
With his interest in permaculture and wild plants, he also brings a more natural, practical outlook to Merlin&Cie, attentive to living things and to the little details you notice when you take the time to observe.
Alice and Elisa, our wonderful sources of inspiration
Merlin&Cie is also a family story.
Alice, a big horse fan, follows everything related to the equestrian world with enthusiasm. She loves discovering new products, giving her opinion and spotting what might appeal to horse lovers.
Elisa has a very special talent: she is interested in the tiniest creatures, even the ones many people do not notice. She is a bit like a friend to the ants, curious, attentive and always ready to observe what is happening in a corner of the garden.
Both of them love discovering the new Merlin&Cie products. Their reactions, their ideas and their child’s-eye view often remind us of what matters most: a good product should also bring joy, curiosity and the desire to share a moment.
Our companions, the real masters of the house
It is impossible to talk about Merlin&Cie without introducing those who inspire us every day.
Myster is our Border Collie. On paper, this breed is known for being intelligent. In real life, Myster has a personality closer to Rantanplan: endearing, enthusiastic, sometimes a little off track, but always full of good will. He reminds us that dogs do not need to be perfect to be extraordinary.
Java is a mare retired from an equestrian centre. She embodies that special gentleness of horses who have given a lot and who now deserve attention, respect and peace. Her story reminds us of the importance of caring for animals at every stage of their lives.
Chippie is an elderly cat with a strong character. She prefers dogs to cats and has chosen Elisa as her favourite companion. She does what she wants, when she wants, like many cats who have perfectly understood how the world works. We also have to admit that she spends most of her time sleeping.
Oscar is a big purring tomcat. His favourite place? Close to Alice. He hardly ever leaves her side and brings to the house that soft, round and reassuring presence that only some cats can offer.
Merlin, our rabbit, also has a very special place in the story of the shop. He has greatly inspired us in the world of small pets and in our desire to offer lovely attentions to the little companions who are sometimes forgotten.
And then there is the whole little tribe around us, with their habits, their preferences, their mischief and their tender moments. None of them officially “approves” the products, of course. But they all remind us why Merlin&Cie exists.
