Dried willow leaves for rabbits and small herbivores
Merlin&Cie dried willow leaves are a simple, natural and slightly woody plant-based treat designed for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. They bring a new aroma, a different texture and a little extra variety to the diet of small herbivores, without ever replacing hay.
Thanks to their fine, light texture, dried willow leaves mix easily into a handful of hay. They can also be offered directly by hand or hidden in a forage mat to encourage your pet to search, sort and nibble at its own pace.
Merlin&Cie willow leaves are harvested, dried at low temperature and packed in France. This artisan preparation makes it possible to offer a recognisable plant-based treat with no additives, no flavourings and no unnecessary mix.
Why offer willow leaves to your rabbit?
Willow is one of the leafy plants that can be included occasionally in a rotation of dried plants. Its leaves offer a light texture that is easy to nibble, with a soft plant aroma and a naturally woody note.
Offered in small quantities, willow leaves help vary the diet while also making feeding time more enriching. Mixed with hay, they encourage rabbits and small herbivores to forage, select and take their time eating, making the experience more stimulating.

How to use dried willow leaves
Dried willow leaves can be offered in several ways, depending on your pet’s habits:
- mixed into a handful of hay;
- given directly by hand;
- placed in a forage mat;
- tucked into an enrichment toy suitable for small herbivores.
As with any new dried plant, it is best to introduce willow leaves gradually, in small quantities, so you can observe your pet’s digestive tolerance.

- Guinea pig: 1 small leaf from time to time.
- Chinchilla and degu: ½ to 1 small leaf occasionally.
